We have a couple of updates since we last logged on
this news page. First off big ups to Struggle Am Diego
Najera on getting 5th place in the Sun Diego Am Slam Finals!!
Struggle pro Ruben Najera has
got a new ad in the latest Transworld Skateboarding magazine. October 2008
issue to be exact. Check it out below.

is at it again with another helpful trick tip. If you wanna get your 180's

First off we would like to announce the newest Struggle
dealer in Southern California. GHOST skateshop located in
Barrio Logan,CA. Sometimes there is a flatbar out in front so you can session.
Its pretty rad. Check them out!!!! They are a rad new core shop with alot
of heart and even some gnarly skatespots nearby. If you are ever in their
area check out there shop for sure!! Support all of the core shops!!
The entire Struggle team has been super busy lately.

can be found in a new K5 ad. In Transworld Skateboarding magazines September
08 issue. I believe it is page 86. The mag is on stands as we speak. Check
out the Struggle T-shirt hes rocking in the photo.

Olson has been busy logging in tons of footage for three videos
in the works. First and foremost his epic part in the new highly anticipated
Struggle video. And two other parts in the new Trouble Shooters video and
in a local Milwaukee flick with some homies of his.
Struggle Pro Ruben Najera had
a banner billboard at the X-Games this year in the Sponsorhouse/Loopd boothe
so if you think you saw him there it wasnt an illusion. He also is gracing
the cover of the "About" section on the Loopd website.Ruben is also
the newest addition to the Steaz
energy team. He also broke his thumb two days before the Cannonball Run contest
trip Eeeeekk!! what are the chances of that.

Vee Rodriguez and Rigo Soto are resting from the long 5 day trip in San Diego with some of the other Struggle riders. Vee got some legit tricks on legit spots. His part is going to be zesty!!!Count on it.
The Struggle RDT department has been busy lately.
Aron Lawrence has been getting
down with the trick tips and holding it down for Struggle in Michigan!!! Check
out his latest trick tip for a Heelflip Varial. Hes rockin the new "Liberty"
deck in baby blue and a Struggle shield tee.
Mariano Valenzuela and Martin
Zendejas have been crazy busy lately. They got the almighty
honor of joining the veteran Struggle team riders on this years Cannonball
Run Contest in San Diego this past week. Word back was they did an incredible
job and tried their hardest. Good Job guys.

There has been alot of coverage going down lately from
a few Struggle riders. Diego Najera placed 2nd in the last Am Slam contest
in Chula Vista. Peep the video, lookout for the double tre,hardflip,and laser
flip off the double set.
We also just got a new trick tip in for a Plasma flip by RDT rider Aron Lawrence.
Check it out and prepare to be inspired.
Also we have gotten some sweet coverage for the Valley Voyage Tour in the
IMPERIAL VALLEY PRESS newspaper lately. Below is a photo taken from our Westmorland

First off we would like to start by thanking everyone
who came on out to Go Skateboarding Day / our fourth stop on the Valley Voyage
tour in Westmorland,CA. We hope you all enjoyed the awesome skate session.
Also I would like to thank all the sponsors that helped us out. The city of
WESTMORLAND!! Posse Inc., and 95.3. Huge thanks to all of you. And Congrats
to the winners of the best trick competitions. Mariano Valenzuela 1st place
in the Best trick competition off the stairs with a "triple kickflip".
And Martin Zendejas for winning Best trick on the rail competition with a
270 lipslide. Big ups to the winners and all who competed.

Struggle skateboards AM DIEGO NAJERA wins 1ST PLACE in the first stop of the Sun Diego AM SLAM contest.

STOP 1 / JUNE 7TH
Sun Diego's AmSlam Series got underway this past Saturday
with Stop 1 at the Clairemont Skatepark. Nearly 100 skaters came out to compete,
and every one of them walked away with a little prize package courtesy of
our sponsors. The top 3 winners in each division got hooked up with a fat
bag of goodies and a Trophy Deck for their wall. Diego Najera was the big
winner of the day, placing 1st in the Advanced Division and taking home $500
cash and an automatic ticket to the Finals on August 24th. You may remember
Diego from the Krux Kickflip Challenge we hosted a few weeks ago. He won that
event too with 579 consecutive kickflips. He basically rips and you'll no
doubt be hearing a lot more from him throughout the AmSlam series.
Diego Najera also took a 3rd in his age division as well. BIG UPS TO DIEGO!!!
WAY TO GO!!
Struggle riders VEE RODRIGUEZ and RIGO SOTO will be graduating from high school tomorrow. They have finally finished there journey through the mandatory school system and we are proud of them! Now that homework is out of the way expect to see some insane skateboard trickery going down by these two!!! CONGRATS GUYS. CLASS OF 2008!!
Struggle RDT rider MARTIN ZENDEJAS will be competing in a best trick competition at the PALA skatepark as part of the Active Hot Dogs and Hessians Tour.. GOOD LUCK MARTIN tear it up homie!! Rep that STRUGGLE!!!
And for all you Imperial Valley Heads be sure to tune into radio station 95.3 to hear a sweet commercial from Struggle rider RUBEN NAJERA. It airs twice every hour so its pretty easy to catch. Be sure to check it out!!!

won the KRUX kickflip challenge this past Sunday at Sun Diego Mission Beach.
Diego pulled off 579 kickflips in a row. And on top of that
he is now riding for KRUX TRUCKS (flow). GOOD JOB DIEGO!!!

Last Friday we held our 3rd stop on our Struggle Valley Voyage Tour in Heber. We had a Kickflip Challenge and an award ceremony for the winners of the legendary IMPERIAL VALLEY RALLY contest. Here are the final scores and a sweet picture of this years winning team. CONGRATS GUYS!!!

Struggle Skateboard team riders/brothers DIEGO
NAJERA and RUBEN NAJERA did
super well this past weekend at the ES GAME OF SKATE in Phoenix,AZ.
Out of a total of a monstrous 275 contestants our Struggle
riders took 1st and 3rd place honors!!!!Taking a SUPER huge victory for STRUGGLE.
DIEGO NAJERA took 1st place
and will go up against 23 of the top AM's in the world at the Maloof Money
Cup in Orange County. RUBEN NAJERA
took a highly respectable 3rd place alongside with the days record for most
games won. At one point he even played 3 games back to back without a single
break,being the only individual to do that the whole day. Way to hold it down
for Struggle guys!!! Congrats!!!

consecutive 360 flips done in one minute record.
This is the current world record. There are tons of
people in the world trying to one up it. I wouldnt doubt that its possible
but be sure that Ruben will probably try to one up the next one to.
And as a finisher for this latest NEWS section update. The Imperial Valley Rally 2 comes to an end this Sunday. Best of luck to all the competitors out there. Remember its better to turn in what you got than to not turn it in at all. Its gonna be a tough one this year I hear there are tons of good teams. Its ANYBODYS game!! Struggle Pro RUBEN NAJERA was a guest star on
the very first episode of the "Biggest Players Show" on My World
Of Sports. He was the final special guest at the last half hour of the show..

come on out to the STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN!!This event is gonna be gnarly. Hands
down the biggest game of S.K.A.T.E ever thrown in the Imperial Valley without
a doubt.
